This is a survey of the overlap of people on the freebsd-commit
mailling list, and Twitter users, not what I would call a very
valid polling of FreeBSD users.

Someone register my "continue to make sound" vote.

Warner, please fix the broken code with respect to pitch,
that is probably WHY people find it overtly annoying.

Interesting perspective, and I agree.  I am also concerned about loss of
beep function in X11 terminals.
