Moreover, it prevents leaking certain state from the caller to the callee, e.g., environment variables, sets the running class to `daemon`, etc. As someone who’s been on the receiving ends of bugs like that, it helps not having to deal with weird “WTF?” type bugs when running code with service vs rc.d .
