Moin Matthias,

I'd rather keep it off for now.

Upstream tracks the removal in issue #1806: open since November 2022,
milestone 4.0.0, no date, and 3.1.0 still in between. So there's no
deadline we could miss, and turning the default on later is one line.

Until then it puts curl plus six more packages on every box that only
runs check_disk and check_load over nrpe. Every other option in this
port that needs a library is off for the same reason.

I'd flip it once 4.0.0 comes into sight. But the port has no maintainer,
so it's not mine to decide alone. If you still prefer on by default,
just change it, I won't argue.

Cheers
Jochen
