Except it pessimizes package version and once it's there, it's very hard
to get rid of (can only happen alongside with PKGNAME change).  There're
reasons why people try to avoid PORTEPOCH, ideally it should be used as
a last resort and looks like this is not the case here if upstream would
be willing to sanitize their version numbering scheme.

It's not like any tool, it's a particularly disgusting one.
