According to https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/porters-handbook/makefiles/#porting-categories

deskutils - Things that used to be on the desktop before computers were invented.

Diary, calendar, contacts, notes, timer fit nicely in "deskutils".
"clipboard" in computing is quite different in how it works and used
compared to the retro one. Prior art like "xclip" and "clipman" are
already under x11/ category.
