As Alexey pointed out, a month ago was a question, which you did not
address as far as I can see.

The length of time the PR has been openned is completely irrelevant to
any possible timeout.
PR with questionnable patches can remain open for years.

This particular change had two parts, the update to 1.23 and cosmectic
changes to the port. The update to 1.23 was never questionned. The
cosmectic changes were, multiple times, and I don't feel like you
addressed all of them.
