The support for Go 1.23 ended in August 2025, and we are now almost four
months past that date.
We cannot keep unmaintained software in the tree indefinitely,
especially when the upstream no longer provides fixes.

Go 1.24 will likely reach end-of-life around February 2026, so any port
using USES=go:1.24 will soon face the same situation. Updating or
removing unmaintained Go-based ports is therefore an ongoing necessity.

If a port is removed, it remains easy to retrieve it from the Git
history should someone wish to revive or maintain it later.
