+== Summary
+
+A native FreeBSD port, package:www/brave[], is available in the {repo}[FreeBSD-Ports overlay].
+It builds Brave *1.94.120*, based on Chromium *152.0.7977.76*, for amd64 and aarch64.
+The build uses only the release tarballs and the ports toolchain (LLVM 22, Rust, Node 24).
+It does not use depot_tools, gclient, CIPD or siso, and it does not need the Linuxulator.

+* Native build on amd64 and aarch64.
+* Shields filter lists.
+* Port options for Widevine (via package:www/foreign-cdm[]), PipeWire, Qt6, CUPS, Kerberos, and ALSA, PulseAudio and sndio.

+== Open issues
+* *Services key.* Without it, component updates return 403, so there is no ad block catalog and no CRLSet.
+  The port currently uses the same key that Arch ships.
+* Leo, Brave Search and speech-to-text have no keys, so they do not work.
+* The updater and remoting are disabled.
+  Updates come through pkg.
+* The Brave version is tied to the Chromium version in package:www/chromium[].
