It turns out that rebuilding the failed ports. That is really a work-around, but allowed me to get postfix working correctly and, as a fringe benefit, fixed the ACPI errors. since it was a change in error returns that caused the problem. --=20 Kevin Oberman, Part time kid herder and retired Network Engineer E-mail: rkoberman@gmail.com PGP Fingerprint: D03FB98AFA78E3B78C1694B318AB39EF1B055683 --000000000000346aed063f85ad62 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 `err 22` means `EINVAL`, which points to this b= lock of code from `sys/dev/acpica/acpi.c`:
```
3193 acpi_ReqSleepState(struct acpi_softc *sc, int state)
3194 {
3195 #if defined(__amd64__) || defined(__i386__)
3196=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0struct apm_clone_data *clone;
3197=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0ACPI_STATUS status;
3198=C2=A0
3199=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0if (state < ACPI_STATE_S1 || state > ACPI_S_S= TATES_MAX)
3200=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0return (EINVAL);
```

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 What state are you trying to enter? You might h= ave not be entering the mode, which could be why you=E2=80=99re hitting tha= t message (some defensive code might be missing).
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 I wonder if this commit is related: https://cgit.FreeBSD.org/src/= commit/?id=3D506b36c4fdde0b402cc730b41a9d9d20130e1bca <https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/co= mmit/?id=3D506b36c4fdde0b402cc730b41a9d9d20130e1bca> (CCed obiwac@).=
