(this probably belongs more to freebsd-fs but people on
this list are more likely to use EA's at all).

Hello;

Reading from 'Inside OS/2 Warp version 3' regarding
Extended Attribute support on DOS fs;

"..EAs can be composed of up to 64 KB of data relating to a
file. Because of the potential size of these EA's, they
cannot be stored in a file's directory entry.
OS/2 uses reserved space in each file's directory entry to
contain pointers to EA's. The EA's themselves are stored in
your root directory in a file named EA_DATA._SF, which has
Hidden, System, and Read-only attributes. Note that the
blank file EA_DATA._SF has two blank spaces represented
here by the underscore character (_) for clarity."

If there is any interest on implementing these on msdosfs I
can make a disk image from a floppy with some files before
I kill OS/2 Warp from my HD (to install FreeBSD of course
:).

cheers,

    Pedro.
