Yea.  Good luck with that.  I had that idea like 4 or 5 years ago.  However, there's a lot of grunt work to do on all the drivers in the system to get them into good enough shape to export their PCI ID lists in a uniform way so we could automatically do the right thing.

This isn't a 9.x item, but it could easily be a 10.x item.
