Go ahead, there are still a few users of this port in the tree. But I
don't have time of motivation to investigate those.

I think you mean https://github.com/GNOME/gtkimageview the url you gave
if of the python bindings. It the mirror of the GNOME git server, and
nobody touched it in 4 years.
