Stupidity is in the eye of the beholder.  Personally I think it's crazy
to have 1MB == 1048576B but 1Mb/s = 1000000b/s.  Heaven help people who
try and measure bandwidth in MB/s...

MiB removes the ambiguity.  Besides, it's the standard, and has been for
many years.  I'm sorry, but you're going to have to be dragged (kicking
and screaming maybe) into the 21st Century now.
