keyboard leds for urgency hint

hi all,

please, may somebody advice, 

how can I switch on/off keyboard leds under xorg?

I want to set urgency hint on event (IM message arrival for example),
but while trying to test it with `xset led ...' I was unable to switch
any led except Scroll Lock, but I need to do that with Caps Lock :(

is there way to do that?
