I'll be delighted to hear that it works on any of the newer CPUs
commonly referred to to as "Second Generation" (Sandy Bridge) with
integral "Intel 3000" graphics. I have read that they simply don't
operate without kernel mode setting and would be overjoyed to get mine
to work (other than with VESA) without the installation of the KMS
patches and all of the related stuff on -current.
