Openoffice-3.2 not starting -- X-Error

FWIW, upgrading to 3.2.1 (the latest from editors/openoffice.org-3) did 
not help -- the same problem. If a different (remote) display is 
specified, OOo comes up fine. But the local -- :0 -- is not working... 
Please, help. Thanks!
