Xorg 1.6.0 uses 100% CPU in gnome+gdm

Sorry for the noise, I didn't notice until this morning that I had
checked out x11-servers/xorg-server with a sticky date from CVS.
Reverting that, rebuilding xorg-server and all dependant ports made the
problem go away.
