Xorg 7.4 causing kernel to crash in 7.1-RELEASE

Had the same issue.

Where as I get into X but it would kill the whole machine when I quit X. 
Disabling DRI fixed it.

I'll give 7.1-stable a go and see what happens.

I am now very glad I subscribe to this mailing list. lol
