Firefox 3 displays pieces of desktop background

I have also seen this with Firefox 3. I see it often. It's not an image
rendering issue or anything like that. It's a portion of the window
filled by a copy of something else on the display. I even see it on
simple table displays.

I see it on both my laptop and my desktop systems and, even if I click
STOP before any artifacts are shown, they still start to appear and
continue to get worse until the display is unreadable.
