x11 crash due to unexpectedly deleted pixmap from screen saver

Details:

1.  after building/installing kernel/world from RELENG_7 source obtained 
yesterday, started xorg and tried some screen savers, including 'ant 
spotlight'
2.  'ant spotlight' displayed properly in the xscreensaver-demo window, 
but when I pressed 'Preview' the X server crashed.

[I have been having a LOT of crash issues with respect to X lately, with 
the 7-RELEASE code from a month ago along with the 7-RELEASE ports, and 
with the most recent kernel and ports]

X was recently re-built with the latest '.' ports from about a week ago, 
along with gnome and other ports that use the gtk (they had to be 
rebuilt as part of the upgrade process, according to 'UPDATING').
