problem with updated xorg-server

I have no idea if this is causing the problem, but...

The newer mga drivers (version 1.9.99, 1.9.100) detect the card 
capabilities from the video BIOS, and the messages above show that it 
can't read the BIOS.

It may not fix this particular problem.

What was the version of xorg-server you were running before the upgrade?
