black screen on Thinkpad R40 with xorg-7.3 + xf86-video-ati-6.7.195

After doing a bunch more searching around the net, I found that this bug
is fixed in xf86-video-ati-6.7.196, which I installed by hacking the
port's Makefile and distinfo files.
