Not that I know of, neither is there on the proprietary driver. I had to
lower the AGP rate in my BIOS. I know you're using the nv driver, I just
find it interesting I had the exact same symptoms even though I am using
the proprietary drivers. It also seems varied between kernel/OS updates.
Sometimes I can set it to it's max, at other times I need to lower it
while having the same version of the NVidia driver. This leads me to
believe it's not so much a driver issue but something in the kernel
itself (either generating the errors or not dealing with them properly).

YMMV but it's worth a shot, so is upgrading the BIOS to it's latest
version. Which I had to do to even be able to lower the AGP rate in the
BIOS.

Cheers,

Remko C.
