mode "1280x1024" (Xorg)

When i put mode "1280x1024" in the subsection of my xorg config file
(freebsd5.3beta7), he says that Mode is unknown and not parsed ?

Also can somebody tell me what the description is for a radeon 9800 xt
to put in the device section ? i was guessing

RV350 [RADEON 9800 XT]

but that is not recognised

(ps i can't put the config file here because i switching back and
forward from xp to freebsd to access my mail, dont have floppy either)
