X.Org refuses to use other modes than 640x480 60Hz (radeon)

I have seen similar problems with the 'via' driver, and now than I think
about it, in all the cases the monitors were Iiyama ones.

All video modes were listed as invalid, except 1600x1200 by 60Hz.

The monitor DDC information may be the culprit here.
