Hi,
I've followed the UPDATING instructions for moving over to X.org from
XFree86-4.x, but still I'm left with a lot of stale dependencies in the
ports database. Mostly dependencies to XFree86.
running pkgdb -F , here are the 2 first dependencies:
---> Checking the package registry database
[Updating the pkgdb <format:bdb1_btree> in /var/db/pkg ... - 489
packages found (-1 +3) (...)... done]
Stale dependency: Xaw3d-1.5 -> XFree86-libraries-4.3.0_7
(x11/XFree86-4-libraries):
New dependency? (? to help):
Skipped.
Stale dependency: aalib-1.4.r5_1 -> imake-4.3.0_2 (devel/imake-4):
imake-6.7.0_2 (score:61%) ? ([y]es/[n]o/[a]ll) [no]
("snapshot" of running pkgdb -aF):
Skipped. (running in non-interactive mode; specify -i to ask)
Stale dependency: dvipsk-tetex-5.92b_1 -> imake-4.3.0_2 (devel/imake-4):
Skipped. (running in non-interactive mode; specify -i to ask)
Stale dependency: dvipsk-tetex-5.92b_1 -> XFree86-libraries-4.3.0_7
(x11/XFree86-4-libraries):
Skipped. (running in non-interactive mode; specify -i to ask)
Stale dependency: eel2-2.6.2 -> XFree86-fontScalable-4.3.0
(x11-fonts/XFree86-4-fontScalable):
But I have no XFree86 packages installed:
pkg_info |grep XFree86 # results in only this:
dri-4.3.0,1 OpenGL hardware acceleration drivers for XFree86
I've also followed the gnome instructions in UPDATING for
x11-toolkits/libwnck and x11/libxklavier.
My last cvsup was done yesterday.
uname -a
... 5.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.2-RELEASE #2: Sun Feb 8 15:21:49 CET 2004 ... i386
What have I missed? (The suggested method for moving to x.org in the
freebsd mailinglists doesn't seem to help either).
Any suggestions at all on how I could get rid of all the XFree86
dependencies are highly appreciated. =)
(I have attached the content of my /var/db/pkg directory,
var.db.pkg_dir.txt)
Regards
Joacim
