Last night I tried commenting out "SUBDIR+= multimedia" in the Makefile and got a clean build just with "make install". So I was looking at multimedia as the probable culprit rather than the possibility that I had not paid close attention to the build documentation. I just assumed that "make install" would include any pre-requisite targets. I agree with you that it shouldn't install before doing the necessary things, but then I haven't spend any time on figuring out how it works, I just used the FDP primer :-) Edwin -- Edwin Groothuis | Personal website: http://www.mavetju.org edwin@mavetju.org | Weblog: http://www.mavetju.org/weblog/ From edwin at mavetju.org Thu Jul 3 13:40:02 2008 From: edwin at mavetju.org (Edwin Groothuis) Date: Thu Jul 3 13:40:04 2008 Subject: www/125218: [patch] Update www/en/multimedia with new entries Message-ID: <20080703132946.594A49A1@k7.mavetju> >Number: 125218 >Category: www >Synopsis: [patch] Update www/en/multimedia with new entries >Confidential: no >Severity: non-critical >Priority: low >Responsible: freebsd-www >State: open >Quarter: >Keywords: >Date-Required: >Class: change-request >Submitter-Id: current-users >Arrival-Date: Thu Jul 03 13:40:01 UTC 2008 >Closed-Date: >Last-Modified: >Originator: Edwin Groothuis >Release: FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p1 i386 >Organization: - >Environment: System: FreeBSD k7.mavetju 7.0-RELEASE-p1 FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p1 #2: Wed May 28 08:12:56 EST 2008 edwin@k7.mavetju:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/k7 i386 >Description: >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: Index: multimedia-input.xml =================================================================== RCS file: /home/dcvs/www/en/multimedia/multimedia-input.xml,v retrieving revision 1.4 diff -u -r1.4 multimedia-input.xml --- multimedia-input.xml 12 Jun 2008 19:02:27 -0000 1.4 +++ multimedia-input.xml 3 Jul 2008 13:28:03 -0000 @@ -9,6 +9,87 @@ + + Michael W.
