I believe this ftp/url is a dangling symlink:

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ISO-IMAGES-ppc

it appears to link to:

lrwxr-xr-x    1 110      0              23 Oct 13  2005 ISO-IMAGES-ppc -> releases/ppc/ISO-IMAGES

whereas I think perhaps it should instead link to:

releases/powerpc/ISO-IMAGES

I.e. "ppc" in the symlink pointer vs. "powerpc" in the subdir name.

try to access URL ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ISO-IMAGES-ppc or
same path via regular ftp client.

Either rename /pub/FreeBSD/releases/powerpc/ directory to ppc/ instead (or
perhaps a "ppc -> powerpc" symlink addition) or recreate the symbolic link
/pub/FreeBSD/ISO-IMAGES-ppc accordingly.
