webcamd and webcams under 8.1-rel

Hi,

I've tried to get 2 different webcams working under 8.1-rel with webcamd 
(0.1.14). But neither usb webcam is willing to work...

The first is a Logitech V-UAP41 :

Webcamd is already running for ugen3.2.0

The second is an older one : a Creative Webcam 5. This one gets recognized, 
but...
The webcam gets recognized in dmesg :

Are my 2 cams too old or is something else wrong here ? How do i get (one) 
webcam working in p. ex. skype ?
