System: FreeBSD io.wynn.com 7.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 7.2-RELEASE #0: Fri May 1 08:49:13 UTC 2009 root at walker.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
	i586 200 Mhz, 7.2-RELEASE
>Description:
aue driver will only talk to other systems on the network if the
interface is set to promisc with ifconfig. When set to promisc
while network communications is possible it is slow. Ping times
to a any system on the same HUB are in the order of 25 ms
while ping times ping times between other hosts are in the order of
      5 ms.

This was tested with 2 different known working aue devices, both of
which worked correctly on Linux systems with 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
Things also worked fine with a 2.4 linux kernel installed on the
same hardware that has the 7.2-RELEASE on it.

>How-To-Repeat:
Install an aue based usb device as your network interface.
>Fix:

     No idea!
