This is a quite old bug report.The box in question runs FreeBSD
8.0-BETA3/amd64 and before (and after 6.2-PRE) 7.1. As far a s I recall,
the problem vanished after FreeBSD 6.2-REL was out. Today the box has
the new USB stack running with 8.0 and everything seems quite all right
so far.
