usb/90162 resolution?

I have one of these USB wireless optical mice.  I tried applying
everything from this patch manually the the 6.1-STABLE src tree copy on
my laptop, rebuilt the kernel... it now sees the device as ums0, but
moused doesn't seem to work with it.  Do you know if there is a
permanent fix for this in the works or anything?
