MPMan 256MB USB MP3 player
>Description:
I have an MPMan MP3 player with an USB connection. When connected
to the computer audio files can be copied to the MP3 player.
When the MP3 player is connected to FreeBSD it takes some seconds
until the corresponding entries appear in `dmesg`.
umass0: vendor 0x10d6 Generic USB Disk Device, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2
da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0
da0: <GENERIC USB DISK DEVICE 1.00> Removable Direct Access SCSI-2 device
da0: 1.000MB/s transfers
da0: 249MB (510494 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 249C)
/dev/da0* entries are not available.
When the device is detached FreeBSD usually goes into the debugger.
To connect other USB memory sticks is no problem.
>How-To-Repeat:
Boot FreeBSD.
Attach the MPMan MP3 player.
# ls /dev/da0*
ls: /dev/da0*: No such file or directory
Detach the MPMan MP3 player.
