Both issues are reported upstream with patches suggested to fix them. I
have no idea how long it takes for them to accept them. My mails are
currently waiting in moderator's queue for approval.

That being written, in my oppinion patches are good method to fix issue
now for us, immediatelly, after fix is accepted upstream, they are
simple to remove.

I have no idea how patch could be converted to fragment, do we have any
doc/manpage/example/anything?
