Hi I have to setup a machine using that pci tokenring adapter. I have 
successfully compiled and installed kernel with
device oltr0
pseudo-device token 

with scanpci command it finds hardware
pci bus 0x0002 cardnum 0x02 function 0x00: vendor 0x108d device 0x0001
Olicom Token-Ring 16/4 PCI Adapter (3136/3137)
and with dmesg i can get this:

ifconfig -m shows:
oltr0: flags=2<BROADCAST> mtu 1500
       inet 192.168.1.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
       lladdr 0.0.83.63.75.a3
       media: Token ring UTP/16Mbit
       supported media:
               media UTP/16Mbit
               media UTP/4Mbit
but I constantly get this error message sent to /dev/console:
oltr0: adapter init failure 0x711
oltr0: adapter init failure 0x711 

I have no idea what is wrong with it. Any ideas?

Subject: Cant get Olicom Card to work

Hi!

Im having a problem trying to get an Olicom (3137 PCI) to work on FreeBSD
4.6
I inserted "device oltr" and "pseudo-device token" into the kernel config
and recompiled.
Everything seemed to work fine and the card is even correctly detected at
startup.
I can even set it up with ifconfig and assign it an ip address but i cant
ping any host on my network.
Interesting detail is when i assign it an address already in use on my
network it does output the relevant error message so seems that even that
is still working.
However i still cant ping or telnet to any hosts on my network.
Tcpdump shows some netbios traffic on the network.
Does anybody have an idea why i cant establish any ip traffic on the card
though?
