FreeBSD 8.3 and 9.0 freeze with firefox

Erich,
Thanks for your response.
I've removed the .mozilla directory from my home directory. Let's see if
it will make a difference. It is quite possible it will. I had updated
the firefox port when I updated from 8.2 to 8.3.
