I am trying to get a crash dump but am unable to with FreeBSD 6.3-RELEASE-p2
dumpdir="/var/crash" # Directory where crash dumps are to be stored
savecore_flags="" # Used if dumpdev is enabled above, and present.
Z2873# sysctl -a |grep physmem
Swap: 1024M Total, 1024M Free
Z2873# dumpon -v /dev/ad0s1b
kernel dumps on /dev/ad0s1b
dumping 255M 2 chunks
Then nothing - the system doesn't reboot and I have to hard reset it.
When it comes back up there is no crash file in /var/crash

Is this broken?
"They that give up essential liberty to obtain temporary safety,
deserve neither liberty nor safety." (Ben Franklin)
"The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty
decreases." (Thomas Jefferson)
