Yes :) kgmon has nothing to do with mutex profiling, so remove the MPROF_*.
sysctl debug.mutex.prof.enable=1
... trigger hang ...
sysctl debug.mutex.prof.enable=0
and send me the output of
sysctl debug.mutex.prof.stats
