What is the exact CFLAGS setting that you use?
Do you use -O2 (or -Os) without -fno-strict-aliasing?
In general, having a CFLAGS=... line in /etc/make.conf
is not a good idea. In most cases it does more harm
than good. That might be the case here, too.
I suggest you remove the CFLAGS line, rm -r /usr/obj
(and make sure /usr/src is fresh) and start over.
