atacontrol panic

Hallo,

the sequence
#atacontrol detach ata2
#atacontrol reinit ata2
panics my 6.2-RELEASE-p3 system.

I know, the simple solution is "don't do that". But it would be
nice if it could be fixed. I can't get a dump at the moment and I
can't try a more recent -STABLE or -CURRENT to see if it is already
fixed.  I'm not sure if I should submit a PR without this.
