I plan to ask the re@ for MFC approval in the next week (hopefully,
before the BETA-3). Aggregated patch against RELENG_6 is located at
http://people.freebsd.org/~kib/devfs-RELENG_6.patch. I ask interested users
to test the patch before the merge.
