Well I have worse experience with linux when we talk about usb, SCSI
and stability :)
and from what I hear there is a work in progress for usb in freebsd.
Also I'm quite happy with my external USB connected Light-On dvd burner.
Anyway I workaround this by connecting the plextor dvd burner direct to
IDE cable
and with atapicam everything seems ok.
