Actually, I got this here today on my 6-STABLE box ... in my case, maxproc 
is 6164, but mine started with the maxpipekva errors in 
/var/log/messsages, and then wen to maxproc also:

I just raised my maxpipekva to 64M .. see if it doesn't lock up yet again ...
