libc bug with nsswitch?

Could you please test an older version of nss_ldap to see if it solves
your problem? I have a package of an older version here:

    http://www.laverenz.de/nss_ldap-1.239.tbz

This solved the problem with linux_base-8 in my case but not the errors
with php4.
