You should just load it from the xorg.conf file as I remember.
like this
Section "Files"
	RgbPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb"
	ModulePath "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules"
	FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
	FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/"
	FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/"
	FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/"
	FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/"
	FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/"
EndSection

Section "Module"
	Load "extmod"
	Load "glx"
	Load "dri"
	Load "dbe"
	Load "record"
	Load "xtrap"
	Load "type1"
	Load "freetype"
EndSection
Notice the Load "dri"

Or it may look like this just uncomment glx and dri
Section "Module"
      # This loads the GLX module
      # Load "glx"
      # This loads the DRI module
      # Load "dri"
        Load "record"
	Load "xtrap"
	Load "type1"
	Load "freetype"
EndSection

I think thats it. It has been a while since I had to mess with it though
