Can't boot from Single User Mode

FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE

I am getting the following error

/libexec/ld-elf.so.1:shared object "libc.so.5" not found

Any help will be appreciated

I can get the prompt but the mount command is giving the same error message

/libexec/ld-elf.so.1:shared object "libc.so.5" not found
