freebsd 5.3 have any problem with vinum ?

Well, it's been yanked in -CURRENT.  My understanding was that it
should also be yanked in 5.x: a number of changes have been made that
effectively break old Vinum,

Yes, I'm afraid so.  I can think of better ways that this could have
been managed, but I haven't had much influence.
