5.2.1 with 40000 virus scanned mails / day on Dell

If you are looking for 5.2.1, you are on the wrong list.
Anyway, a Pentium III with 256 Mb RAM handles virus scanning and
spam tagging for ~ 60k mails a day without any problem.
Your biggest bottleneck might be the Notes server.
