options GEOM_PART_VTOC8 in GENERIC?

Why in the sparc64 GENERIC there are these two lines:

options         GEOM_PART_GPT           # GUID Partition Tables.
options         GEOM_LABEL              # Provides labelization

but not GEOM_PART_VTOC8?

Is GEOM_LABEL really necessary, ir GEOM_PART_<whichever> is included?
