bind94 threads not working

When I compile bind94 with thread support it does this:

named:
Dec  8 19:59:04 ariel named[63717]: starting BIND 9.4.1-P1
Dec  8 19:59:04 ariel named[63717]: ./main.c:486: unexpected error:
Dec 8 19:59:04 ariel named[63717]: isc_taskmgr_create() failed: no available threads
Dec  8 19:59:04 ariel named[63717]: create_managers() failed: unexpected error
Dec 8 19:59:04 ariel named[63717]: exiting (due to early fatal error)

dig:
[root at ariel /usr/ports/net/quagga]# dig castrovalva.ivy.net
dig: isc_taskmgr_create: no available threads

nslookup:
[root at ariel /usr/ports/net/quagga]# nslookup castrovalva.ivy.net
(null): isc_taskmgr_create: no available threads

It doesn't do that if I turn off thread support in bind94's 'make
config', so the problem isn't really affecting me at all. I just turn
off threads, and it works.

but two questions: is this a sparc64-only problem? And should I
send-pr?
